Gold, Radiation, and the Planetary Holocaust: this is a fun one.

Some terms to know:

- Gold: chemical element, symbol Au, atomic #79 (an uneven number of protons and electrons, leaving it with a positive charge), a transition metal found in the d-block of the periodic table. Diamagnetic with low traces of radiation

- Transition Metal: element that has an incomplete layer of electrons around the nucleus (most electrons come in pairs)

- Diamagnetism: a “phenomenon;” a property that creates a magnetic field in the opposite direction of an externally applied magnetic field – these are “weak” objects and display a very low response to magnetic stimulus (you would probably never even notice it)

- Radiation: general term used to describe the process by which energy is transmitted in the universe; directly related to the stability of a nucleus – it disrupts molecules in an effort to stabilize itself due to its own unstable nucleus

- Electromagnetic radiation (EMR): One form of energy that is emitted and absorbed by charged particles, travels in waves at the speed of light. Photons are the basic unit of EMR

- Photons: what makes up the electromagnetic spectrum of wavelengths. Among other things, they are how we measure “color” and why gold is so pretty. All wavelengths seen at the same time create “white light” (how nice, right??)

This is going to be messy and I am not a scientist. Mostly I am just looking to get some fun responses to a pretty far-out theory.

Humans are obsessed with gold. Throughout history it has proven the most valuable, beautiful, desired metal. Although the majority of its properties are not unlike those of other transition metals, a few things I need to bring to light are what it could actually be used for, and how we use it instead.

Gold resists attacks by individual acids, has high malleability, ductility, and resistance to erosion; it melts at ~2000 deg. F. It is unaffected by air and other reagents, is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity, is insoluble, does not oxidize in air or water, and is the best known blocker of radiation. Gold is used in circuitry for its ability to hold without lubrication and its dependability as a connector and conductor; it stabilizes temperature and will not erode in an anti-gravity atmosphere such as space. Gold is the most applicable metal to advancing the field of aeronautics, and 75% of gold mined today is processed as jewelry. Fucking jewelry. We have enslaved people to find it, built temples and shrines with it, and wear it to prove that we are somehow better than everyone else. Still though, it isn’t even stable, it has an uneven number of neutrons (7 isotopes).

Radiation destroys molecules in less than 1 second, travelling at the speed of light – it can even change human DNA (not always in a negative way, but mostly). We’ve seen what radiation can do. It’s what comes out of nuclear weapons and destroys lives, or alters them drastically. It AIMS to destroy molecules and disrupt the natural state of atoms. Although we have learned to harness and use radiation on our own, it is still mainly emitted through natural sources (oil is one of these); radiation-related deaths on record, though, are almost all man-caused. I was only able to find a couple exceptions to this, one being the Dyatlov Pass incident of 1959 in the Soviet Union.

Some interesting places to find some radiation …

- - North Korea and other countries that have openly admitted to creating nuclear weapons

- - Siberia: highest death rate of radiation victims

- - Egypt: pyramid tombs – many people who have attempted entry come down with a mysterious “sickness.” It’s called radiation poisoning.

- - Crop circles (yes it’s true, they emit radiation and electromagnetism)

- - Oil spills (this is why so many birds and fish magically die following every oil spill ever)

MY [inane] THEORY:

The human desire for gold is actually an externally implanted vice. The idea that “money is the root of all evil” is true, and some inhuman (can we say “extra-terrestrial” or “spirit” or “god”) has placed in it our minds that we must mine a substance that is IDEAL for use in space, but creates nothing but nonsense here on Earth minus the 25% of it actually being used for progressive purposes, like lining circuits and aeronautic equipment. Every bit of humanity is structured into tiny little solar systems that orbit and work and function, but for some reason they are fragile and easily interrupted. I suggest there is a reason for this disruption, and that it is far beyond our comprehension.

In a nutshell, I propose that there is an unperceivable force in the Universe that has the intent to enslave humanity. I believe that gold is FAR more valuable than we realize, and we will continue mining it and loving it and using it to unknowingly circulate vices such as greed and power. Those vices in turn start wars; we decide that we own things, and we deserve things. And we have discovered the most powerful way to get what we want: Radiation! Nuclear war!

The great thing about gold, though, is that it is the best natural repellant to radiation we have (we currently use lead, it is affordable, obviously). Let’s assume there is a nuclear holocaust spurred by the will of this all-enslaving “force,” gold (the majority of which is found in the Earth’s mantle, not crust, and supposedly way down in the ocean) would still be here.

I really wanted to talk about electromagnetism related to unexplained phenomena (the Pyramids, Coral Castle, Stonehenge, Easter Island) but it’s just too much. If you have input on this topic and it involves magnetism in any way, please feel free to discuss!

  1. Jamie this is great! I really enjoyed reading this, however I am left with a couple of questions that perhaps you can answer. If we harvest, what does the gathering process look like? Did you find anything in your reading about the collecting of the gold? Also, is this theory a foundational belief for those who believe in the existence of other-worldly beings? I would like to know if this is a cornerstone for a lot of people who believe in the existence of extra-terrestrials.

I am glad you chose to talk about this because coincidentally I was intrigued by gold a few weeks ago. I was listening or watching something that mentioned as if it was nothing that the value of gold was doing just fine because it is not dependent on the dollar. I know nothing more than that but I thought how interesting that this universal (no pun intended) precious metal was above the rest. And I don't recall being taught why. So immediately I knew that of course the was a specific reason why gold is set at a different, more prestigious standard. Possibly for a answer that is not meant to be known by all.

  3. JAMIE!!

I love your theory. Humans have loved gold for a long time. It's really strange for me to think that people in the past really loved it too, because I think, what is the point of all this gold mining? Didn't ancient people have better things to do, like hunt or invent technology but instead they mined GOLD? How did we even discover gold? I wonder if in the beginning it would just appear in huge rock chunks in rivers.

SO to take your theory one step further, are you saying that we have been implanted with the idea to mine gold and once we get enough out of the earth, then terrestrial beings will come down and kill us to take the gold and use them for their technology?

Well I think this relationship between gold, radiation, and lightwaves is very interesting and it actually made me think of diamonds, yet another commodity that is heavily mined for jewelry. I think it also has many uses outside of jewelry, but I don't really know of them myself.

My mother did not collect jewelry so in turn I have no real passion for gold and things. I do not own a single piece of gold, but I think I want to now that I see all its capabilities!!!!

  4. jill: no i haven't read of this theory being explored by any certain people group (religious or theorists etc), i just kind of made it up haha ... well i was thinking about the implications of this theory last night and what would a person do to survive in the case that this "nuclear holocaust with means to mine gold" occurred ... and personally i would build an underground shelter made of gold hahaha. BUT if this force is trying to mine the gold, then they probably want nothing to do with humanity, hence the destruction by radiation. so my guess is even if i survived in my all gold state of the art underground shelter, what would be left above ground? like, if the forces wanted us all to die, wouldnt they just kill me/leave me to die/enslave me?

i guess a "harvest" would look exactly like it always has. We dig and find and sell. We've been harvesting forever, we never stopped. im not sure how we could harvest for "good," though. So maybe you could think of ideas for that!!

reet: basically, YES. or maybe not even when we "get enough" but it could be by some other external force that the nature of the destruction must be hurried. I mean, from what i read, it sounds like most of the gold on earth is definitely not found yet because of our limited mining capabilities. we havent found a way to effectively mine the depths of the ocean or get into the earth's mantle -- which (at least from my vast readings) seems to be where it all is.

still thinking about the harvest ... i think the best thing would be to use it for aeronautic studies, but it seems like until we can figure out a way to travel very far very fast .. well it would take a long time. i mean, where the hell would we go? hmmm

  5. by "where the hell would we go" i am talking about in the case we used all the gold to further space exploration, and then there was a nuclear holocaust on earth, well we dont really have a backup planet to go to. thats what i mean haha! so maybe we mine the gold and explore and we'll find something.
